Ayesha Curry, the wife of NBA champion, Steph Curry, sparked a Twitter debate over the weekend after suggesting that she prefers to be covered up.
In a Twitter comment posted on Saturday night, the mother of two and cooking guru wrote:
“Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters.”
She added, “Just looking at the latest fashion trends. I’ll take classy over trendy any day of the week. #saturdaynightinsight.”
Curry’s comment, however, did not sit well with folks on the social media website. A flurry of responses flooded timelines, many even going as far as to say the beauty thinks she is better than.
Dozens of followers also commented in support of Curry, including Khloe Kardashian and Chrissy.
But Curry took to Twitter after being berated on Twitter to defend her comment.
“Regardless of if you like my “style of clothes” or not (which I don’t care) please do not tear women down and degrade them… Not cool peeps.”
