We all know 50 Cent delights in kicking his enemies while they’re down, so when Rick Ross dropped his album Black Market to a lukewarm reception, the MMG boss had to know Fiddy would pounce.
Black Market’s sale were less than stellar, moving less than 40k units in its first week. 50 made sure to bring that up while stopping by Thisis50 radio to promote his new mixtape, the Kanan Tape.
“34,000. Is that a rock or a brick? 34,388 and you know they went and bought some. You know he had to buy some. Anybody would have panicked [if they] saw that number trending. So what you trending, like 20,000?” the rapper joked, suggesting Ross actually sold less than 34k albums because he purchased a large portion himself. “About 15,000,” 50 added when asked how many albums his rival may have bought.
As for 50’s own mixtape, named after his Power character, you can listen to it below. As soon as Ross claps back, which he most certainly will, we’ll post his response.
