Solange put a follower in their place after they had something nasty to say about her son, Julez. The singer shared a picture of J dressed as LL Cool J for Halloween, which prompted this unsolicited response from a follower: “So cute but at the same time he ugly.”

That led Solange to fire back with these words:

“Jussst as I thought it was safe to share pictures again, a young’n like you decides to use her time to spread ugliness. I don’t fault you, I can only imagine why you would feel the need to say such things, but thanks again for being a reminder that out of all the love and wonderful energy shared, that when I open up a space for an innocent beautiful being like my boy to be criticized and judged, that I WILL most likely respond, and that he receives enough love and celebration at home that it’s not worth it to go down this road.

I hope that this really resonates with you and you make better decisions in the future towards how you use your words towards innocent children. And @ro.rxd get ya friend because this could have truly gone south if I was in the wrong mood.”

We don’t get why people feel the need to insult children or even adults on social media but we applaud the way Solange handled the situation. What would you have done if someone came for your child in the comments section?

Shots Fired: PETA Calls Drake A Fake A** Vegan!

PETA may be vegan, but they got major beef with Drake.

Earlier this month the Canadian rapper made the declaration that he no longer eats meat. And while PETA initially praised his “ethical” decision, they quickly pointed out that although he doesn’t put animal products IN his body he is quick to wear them ON his body. How un-vegan of you Drake!

The oft-aggressive, animal advocacy organization has called Drizzy out and is demanding that his OVO company part ways with Canada Goose. In a letter to the “God’s Plan” superstar PETA urged “the rapper to cut ties with Canada Goose,” a company that, according to PETA, “touts a phony respect for the environment yet kills ducks and geese for their down.” Apparently, the outerwear company also uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyote and use their fur for collars.

Drake has yet to respond to PETA’s demands, but he probably should soon … or he could be covered in red paint by the weekend.
