Lil Wayne’s Miami mansion was raided by cops on Tuesday afternoon all in connection with a civil case between Weezy and a private jet leasing company.
During the raid, law enforcement reportedly seized several items from the the rapper’s pad and loaded them all onto a truck. It’s unsure all of what was taken, but it is being reported that several pieces of artwork were confiscated. Plaques were also seized from the rapper’s home which also apparently had $30 million worth of artwork inside.
Signature Group recently sued Wayne for $2 million over missed payments and on Friday, a Miami-Dade County judge agreed to have the home raided to see what assets were inside.
Last month, Judge Lisa S. Walsh initially denied the group’s request to raid Weezy’s home without permission, but she changed her mind after a real estate agent confirmed that there were several assets in the New Orleans native’s home.
Dwayne Carter, the rapper’s legal name, tweeted early Wednesday morning what appears to be a response to the incident that took place.
