Taylor Swift suffers from the same curiosity plaguing millions of white people in America. According to The Weeknd, Swift is obsessed with Black people’s hair, or at least, his.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, “The Hills” singer recounted meeting the country singer. “[The] whole time she was talking, she was kind of, like, petting my hair? I think she was just drawn to it — she must have been a little gone off a few drinks. And of course I’m not going to be like, ‘Hey, can you stop?’ I mean, it felt good! But when she started petting my hair, that’s when I was like, ‘I definitely need a drink.'”
While Swift’s affinity for Abel’s hair may seem innocent, Black Twitter wasn’t happy with the revelation. Here are some responses to The Weeknd’s revelation:
Taylor swift touching the weeknd’s hair without his permission doesn’t surprise me seeing as she likes to use black artists as props.
