An unauthorized biography about Beyonce is dropping later this month and the author is spilling all the tea about King Bey’s relationship with rapper, Jay Z. According to the author, the couple split for over a year after Bey suspected Jigga was hooking up with Rihanna, his 17-year-old protege at the time.

Becoming Beyoncè scribe J. Randy Taraborrelli explained the genesis of the rumor an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “[The rumor] was total fiction,” the author explained. “Beyoncé didn’t know what to make of this, and it actually ended up breaking them up for a time. They spent maybe a year apart from each other because Beyoncé just wasn’t sure what to make of the situation with Rihanna.”  Taraborrelli claims the rumor was likely started by a publicist trying to boost Rih’s profile.

As for that infamous elevator fight between Jay and Solange, the writer said it too was sparked over Rihanna. “People told me that there was a whispered argument that night having to do with Jay wanting to go to a party [for] Rihanna,” Taraborrelli explained. “Beyoncé did what Beyoncé does. She laid down the law… it was a whispered married couple’s argument that would’ve gone by completely unnoticed had not Solange overheard it.”

The unauthorized biography Becoming Beyoncé drops October 27.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
