On Saturday night Nelly and his girlfriend Shantel Jackson attended the 6th Annual Face Forward Gala which raises awareness and money for victims of domestic violence.

Shantel was an honoree at last years event, and attended with her attorney Gloria Aldred who was handling her lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Floyd Mayweather, who she alleges was physically abusive during their relationship.

Shantel told HipHollywood the case is still in limbo, and also gave advice to women who have been victims of domestic violence. “I would just say try to get out before it’s too late, and that’s for any situation, whether it’s verbal, mental, or physical abuse.”

Rapper Nelly told us it was important that he attended to support Shantel, but also other women who have been abused. “Obviously I think it’s a really dope cause. I have aunties, a sister, my mother, and this is a cause that affects a lot of people, no matter who you are.”

Also in attendance was LaToya Jackson, Sugar Shane Mosley and reality star Nene Leakes, among others. This years event was held in Los Angeles at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel and was hosted by KTLA reporter Lou Parker and Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier.

Basically her and Nelly NEED some money. She stayes around for eight years…and kept going back after being held hostage…and had a gun pulled on her? Yeah..she didn’t leave until she was secure with broke as Nelly. She is the typical ass broad. Why are you trying to keep a ring…and didn’t marry a man?

“”t was really fun. It’s weird to say that. But to have all these women in military training together, where we had to do these exercises … it was a great bonding experience with each other.” Portman told us.

And although the women had the opportunity to use real guns, firearms is not something the ladies of Hollywood advocate. “I’m anti gun to be honest,” Rodriguez said. “I say no guns. There’s no reason for people to have guns especially when you have these,” she said while holding up her firsts.

This past week Gina has been very vocal via social media about gun legislation and the idea behind policy and change following the tragic high school massacre an Parkland, Florida.
Annihilation, also starring Oscar Isaac, hits theaters on February 23.
