The ex-boyfriend of Chris Brown’s baby’s mother, Nia Guzman, turned himself in to authorities and was booked for check forgery.

As previously reported, King Ba was wanted for allegedly forging U.S. Treasury checks totaling over $5,000 and depositing them into bank accounts. According to reports, the rapper turned himself in after seeing his mug shot on Crime Stoppers.

The rapper, who goes by four names; Kevin, Kelvin, Kingba and Brazil, was Guzman’s longtime boyfriend and also considered himself a father to Nia and Breezy’s daughter, Royalty. But while some reports are suggesting that Ba’s recent arrest will help in Brown’s custody battle, a rep for Guzman tells us that she has “not been in a dating relationship with Ba for several months.”

When reports first hit the Web about Kelvin’s alleged involvement in check forgery, Brown, who Nia claims is unsafe for their daughter to be around, commented on social media:

Last week, Brown was granted joint custody over he and Guzman’s 1-year-old daughter.
