50 Cent might not be as broke as he claims because the rapper is building a massive pad in Africa.

Curtis Jackson, the artist’s legal name, shared a video of his new foreign digs along with the lavish swimming pool he built in the backyard. In the Instagram clip, the 40-year-old reveals a complete panoramic view of the yard and it is definitely … grand.

“My crib is almost finished in AFRICA. I’m gonna have the craziest House warming party ever. I’ll explain later. I got a good life Man,” he captioned the video.

But what might need explaining is how the rapper is able to afford a new mansion in Africa. Over the summer, not only did the New York native file for bankruptcy but the rapper also claimed that he has been living outside his means.

Back in July,  Jackson appeared in a Manhattan Supreme Court in connection with a $5 million lawsuit filed by Rick Ross’ baby mama, Lastonia Leviston. Lastonia claims Fiddy obtained and then posted a sex tape she made with her boyfriend. But during the hearing, the rapper made some shocking claims about his finances.

Jackson confirmed that his Bentley and Ferrari “were rented” and that he “borrowed” extravagant items from other people, like jewelry. “It’s entertainment” he apparently testified, talking about the expensive lifestyle. The 40-year-old also claimed he only owns “a few gold chains.”

The rapper also confirmed via Instagram after news broke of his July bankruptcy that “times were hard.” There were also reports just last month that the rapper was renting out his 50,000 square foot, 21 bedroom, 9 kitchen mansion in Farmington, Connecticut estate to help get his finances in order.

We will give the rapper the benefit of the doubt, after all, we don’t know the details of his financial situation. But we wonder: What’s the truth? Why did he really file for bankruptcy? Does the rapper have coins or not?
