Will Smith is responding to ridiculous rumors started by RadarOnline that he’s filed for divorce from his wife, Jada. The unfounded gossip spread across the Internet before anyone bothered to authenticate its validity. It turns out that the report, is as we knew from the moment we read it, is a crock of bs.
Will took to his official Facebook account to shut down the rumor:
“Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness. (Because it’s contagious) But, so many people have extended me their “deepest condolences” that I figured – “What the hell… I can be foolish, too!”
So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are…
NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)
I promise you all – if I ever decide to divorce my Queen – I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself!
#Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D’s.”
You would think people would know better by now. The tabloids start these rumors up every few months, and every few months, the Smiths shut them down. Silly rabbits, tricks are for kids.
NAACP Image Awards: Twitter Goes Wild Following Ava DuVernay’s Powerful Speech
Ava DuVernay went viral on Monday night after she delivered one heck of a speech during the NAACP Image Awards.
The female director was named Entertainer of the Year and during her acceptance speech, took a moment to speak about the Black community using our voices to create change.
“This is our time,” DuVernay said while talking about Black power players such as Shonda Rhimes and Kenya Barris. “We can say we were here when all this gorgeous art was happening, and that we supported it — that we lifted each other up, that we did as Dr. King said we would do: Live the dream. We’re the dream.”

Following the impeccable speech, viewers jumped on social media to praise DuVernay for her powerful message. “#AvaDuVernay acceptance speech on the #NAACPAwards got me JUICED to be an actor in Hollywood at this time,” one person tweeted.
Someone else wrote, “OK, redemption for the losses AVADUVERNAY , ENTERTAINER OF year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
