Over the past several weeks, tennis champion, Serena Williams has been subject to body shaming and celebrities are jumping to the athlete’s defense.

While on the red carpet for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, signer Teyana Taylor told HipHollywood that “I have a deep voice, I have a six pack, I have strong arms, I guess that makes me a man too.”

She added, “More power to the men if that’s how they feel because I guess girls can’t be in shape any more. I love Serena. Serena, don’t worry aout all that. I’m sure strong women get it all the time.”

Last week, a Twitter user wrote that it’s “ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man.” In response, author JK Rowling slammed the user, tweeting:

“She is built like a man”. Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot.”

She added, “! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!”

Serena also recently was shamed for her perceived unkept eyebrows, which she fired back on social media writing:

“Lol finally getting them shaped! Hahahha #haters I love you!!! Hahah but I still like them all natural! But for now you win lol,” she wrote on Instagram, adding a video of herself getting her brows trimmed.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
