Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj exchanged a few words via Twitter earlier this week and now the country turned pop star is apologizing for “misspeaking.”

Following the announcements for the MTV VMA nominations, Nicki expressed that she was disappointed that her videos for “Anaconda” and “Feeling Myself” did not get a MTV Video Music Award nomination for Video of the Year.

“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” Minaj wrote in a series of tweets.

Swift, who was nominated for her video with Kendrick Lamar, “Bad Blood,” jumped to defense and assumed Minaj was talking about her.

“@nickiminaj I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to put women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot,” she wrote.

Later adding, “@NICKIMINAJ If I win, please come up with me!! You’re invited to any stage I’m ever on.”

Minaj made it clear her comments were not intended for Taylor, so on Thursday morning, the “Blank Space” singer shared this public apology.

“I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki.”

Nicki quickly accepted the apology and then tweeted:

“I’ve always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let’s move on.”

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
