Earlier this week, it was widely reported that Jay Z and Beyonce were purchasing the rights to the Confederate flag. The story originated from a website called NewsWatch33 who “spoke” with the couple’s lawyer about the political statement and savvy business move.

“My clients are adamant about purchasing the rights to the Rebel Confederate flag,” their lawyer Ralph Hammerstein allegedly told NewsWatch33.

“They have expressed deep concern regarding the flag and how it is tearing apart our nation. Mr. and Mrs. Carter wants to assist in the abolishment of the flag by purchasing the resell rights to the Confederate flag. But that may all change with their new movie Traffik. The action-packed thriller slated for theaters April 27, 2018 stars Omar Epps, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso, and it looks pretty darn good.

Peep the trailer below.

In the film, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple are surprised by the arrival of two friends, another couple, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against a gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.

The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor. Patton is also a producer.
