Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson was excited to celebrate the opening of the new “Fast & Furious – Supercharged” ride at Universal Studios, but a little less thrilled to talk about his good friend Diddy and his recent arrest.

HipHollywood caught up with the singer/actor at the red carpet event and when asked if had he spoken to Puff he gave us a death stare. Seriously, he just stared … and gave no answer at all. But, just a few hours later, he decided to voice his opinion on the matter via Instagram.

My exact words.. In this moment Justin Combs aka @princejdc aka UCLA's young KING is NEVER let ANYONE make you feel bad about being so blessed…… Haters have a job to do…… People who run negative blogs, entertain and welcome dysfunction on ALL levels….. They wasn't there…. They don't know what's behind it…. they will assume, they will LOOK to paint the picture….. There IS A such thing as people purposely treating YOU like shit because of WHO your dad IS….. They will tear you down, attack your character, put you through waaaaaaaayyyy more than the others just because of WHAT you were born into….. I say it again…. You don't owe anyone shit…. What we ARE missing is MORE BLACK FATHERS that will step in when its time to command and demand RESPECT period – at any cost…. My Shayla daughter is 7, if I found out a teacher was purposely messing with her everyday BECAUSE of WHO her father was I would have to make my position known…… Period….. This too shall pass…. Stay on your path, hold your head high JUSTIN COMBS…. Carry your last name with PRIDE and CONFIDENCE…. And when you get back on that field you take all of your frustrations and ram into their fucking chest!!!!!!! We stand with you bro….. Your FAMILY stands with you… When God standing with you the TRUTH will be exposed and all lies and bullshit will fall….. I'm here 24/7 baby bro…… It's YOUR season….. The debt of your struggle will determine the HEIGHT of your success…… Stay humble, stay focussed, stay being "Who" you are… Fly high….. I'm so proud to be your big bro… – Tyrese "Voltron King" Gibson.

Even though Tyrese didn’t speak to us, we still enjoyed seeing him and the rest of the cast of Fast & Furious celebrate the new thrill ride. It’s an opportunity for fans to really feel like they’re in the driver’s seat of a high speed chase and it even includes sprays of water and the heat from the explosions. Even Vin Diesel told us, “It’s Crazy!” The ride opened today at Universal Studios so go check it out!

She’s Gotta Have It: Is Ilfenesh Hadera Spike Lee’s New Muse?

Published

We all know Spike Lee loves working with the same actors over and over again. And in some cases new up-and-comers who go on to be Hollywood A-listers. Think Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Rosario Dawson.

Now it seems it’s Ilfenesh Hadera’s turn. The actress of Ethiopian decent has worked with Spike Lee four times: in the 2011 Mike Tyson TV movie Da Brick, in 2013’s Oldboy, in Chiraq playing Ms. McCloud and in his upcoming Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It.

Hadera told us she believes it’s because of Lee’s commitment to diversity that he tends to hire the same actors multiple times.

“If you look at his body of work you see he’s worked with Rosario over and over, [John] Turturro over and over, Mekhi Phifer over and over so he finds talent, new talent and gives them a chance and if more directors did that maybe we would be more represented in the media … God bless him for that,” she said.

Now with 30+ years and countless films under his belt, Lee is bringing his first feature, She’s Gotta Have It, back to life, in a 10-episode Netflix binge debuting Nov. 23.

Hadera, who plays Opal Gilstrap in the series, told us Lee had hinted that he would be bringing his 1986 directorial debut to Netflix and wanted her to be apart of it.

“We had worked together a lot and he had been giving me little hints that this was in the works so I was like let me go back and watch [She’s Gotta Have It] again.”

Like the original, SGHI follows Nola Darling (played by DeWanda Wise) a twenty-something woman living in Brooklyn, New York exploring her sexual identity as she juggles a host of colorful suitors.

As for if this is Hadera’s final time working with Lee, we think not. 2017 has already been an amazing year for the 5’10 beauty with roles on the big and small screen in Baywatch, Billions and Master Of None.
