Nicki Minaj does not play!

Just hours after her ex, Safaree Samuels, released his track “Love the Most,” Minaj took to Twitter to address Samuels’ lyrics used to reveal the secrets of their 12 year relationship.

“God gave me a good heart. I always let ppl get over on me way too long. But that’s why I’m blessed. I’ll always b blessed. May God keep u,” Nicki wrote in a series of tweets.

On Wednesday, Safaree rushed to drop “Love the Most” after a snippet of it was released online. On the song, the rapper opens up about the pain following he and Nicki’s breakup and even slams the star for keeping their love private. “What a shame / It took a split for them to know I was your man / Got so tired of hidin’ it / Head high with no pride in it / Guess I wasn’t cool enough cause in our pictures we hidin’ it.”

The song continues, “I ain’t playin’ tit for tat / I don’t wanna pull you down / I’m not into circus acts and I don’t even like clowns / I ain’t even gonna front like I never watch your show / And I’m still your biggest fan / And I don’t need a front row / Yeah, I know I’m not perfect / You was payin’ all the bills / You remember what you told me when you wasn’t on the pill? / If the shoe was on the other foot / I’d make sure you’re straight / I ain’t playin’ kiddy games / And I ain’t fallin’ for the bait / Tell your mama, tell your brothers, I still love them like my own / I don’t bother reachin’ out because it’s too close to home / But now we’re not together / I don’t feel you wish the best / Can’t believe we not friends / SMH, what a mess.”

But then, things got a little messy when he called out her new relationship with Meek Mill. “That’s between me and you, it was always me and you / We ain’t do this off opinions / It was only me and you / Then you let somebody new come and whisper in your ear / Didn’t think he woulda told you that was my biggest fear.”

To that, the Trinidadian beauty responded:

“And just for the record, I’m in love with meek. Lol and now I have a huge smile on my face.”

She concluded, “Making a 12 yr relationship work at such young ages? We’re BOTH the real MVP. things got rocky at the end but we had a GREAT run.”

It is worth noting that HipHollywood caught up with Safaree last month and asked if his music will be detailing he and Minaj’s relationship or breakup. Samuels, answered, “my album is going to be different.” In hindsight, we guess that meant, yes.
