On Monday night, comedienne Maya Rudolph added Rachel Dolezal to her list impersonations. Dolezal is the “Black” woman who made headlines earlier this month after her parents revealed she was born White.
Rudolph, daughter of legendary soul singer Minnie Riperton, appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers where she reenacted the former NAACP chapter president’s interview with an ABC news affiliate in Spokane, Washington.
“People are like, ‘Oh, it’s too bad, you haven’t been on SNL since 2007! You have to play this lady!'” Rudolph joked before putting on an outrageous wig. “I gotta say, the whole thing is very fascinating to me.”
