Over the weekend, Lil Wayne made an announcement while on stage and had everyone thinking he was the newest member of Roc Nation. “I just signed a deal with my mother f*ckin idol Jay Z,” Weezy proclaimed. But don’t jump to conclusions … it’s not what you think.
No, Wayne didn’t sign a deal to join Roc Nation, but he did secure a spot on the TIDAL roster. According to his manager Cortez Bryant, Wayne is now an artist and owner on Jay’s music streaming service. And considering he’s still beefing with Birdman and Cash Money, this is a pretty major move.
So Weezy fans, if you haven’t already, make sure you get that TIDAL subscription soon. It will be the only way to get Lil Wayne’s next album.
