Lamar Odom’s best friend, Jamie Sangouthai died on Sunday at the age of 37.

TMZ first broke the story, Jamie, who was featured several times on Khloe and Lamar’s E! reality show, was rushed to a downtown Los Angeles hospital after someone called 911. Jamie later passed away while at the hospital of what authorities believe was a heroin overdose.

Khloe, who filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013, took to Twitter to express her pain following the death of their close friend.

“When does it stop? RIP Jamie Sangouthai,” she wrote. “Life doesn’t get easier but I promise you that life will make you stronger.”

Khloe’s best friend, Malika Haqq also shared her reaction via Instagram, writing: “Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed… RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll.”

Jamie has been best friends with Lamar since since high school and even served as the former NBA player’s best man during he and Khloe’s televised nuptials. Sangouthai, who many blamed for Odom’s past alleged drug problem, was also shown in the cryptic video in November 2013 of Lamar rapping about infidelity.

On Friday night, just days before Sangouthai’s passing, HipHollywood spotted Odom at the SLS in Las Vegas where he  was all smiles and appeared to be in great spirits.

But that may all change with their new movie Traffik. The action-packed thriller slated for theaters April 27, 2018 stars Omar Epps, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso, and it looks pretty darn good.

Peep the trailer below.

In the film, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple are surprised by the arrival of two friends, another couple, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against a gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.

The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor. Patton is also a producer.
