Just when we wanted to believe Kanye West was coming back to us, the rapper goes and makes a bizarre song about the horrific, church massacre in Charleston, South Carolina.
On Saturday night, Kanye launched a powerful freestyle while at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9′s annual Birthday Bash concert and addressed racism in our country. But it wasn’t his lyric about ” 500 n*ggas gettin’ pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-popped” or the “magic of racism” that caught people’s attention. Rather, the fact that Ye doesn’t know where Charleston is.
“See that’s the magic of racism, it works on itself/ We hate each other, screw each other, kill each other when we can’t kill nobody else,” he rapped. “See that’s the magic of lackin’ resources, it works on itself/ 500 n*ggas gettin’ pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-popped/ And North Carolina didn’t help/ See that’s the magic of racism, it works on itself.”
It’s clear geography just isn’t the rapper’s strong suit.
