According to Cheryl Lynn’s manager, the genesis of her beef with Anita Baker started over a tweet from an account that didn’t belong to her. Last week, someone posting messages from a “fake” Lynn account claimed that Baker had blocked her on the social media platform.

“Really, girl. I thought we were cool. I guess I shouldn’t known something was up withe you ignored me,” Lynn was accused of tweeting. “What did I ever do to you?,” the hoaxer continued. “Oh, I get it. Probably cuz I will sing you down on the stage, is that it?”

But according to Cheryl Lynn’s manager, Thurlene Johnson, Cheryl doesn’t have a Twitter.

“Cheryl Lynn does not have a Twitter or Facebook account. The individual sending the communications is an imposter pretending to be Cheryl Lynn. Twitter has been made aware of this situation several times over the last two years. Careful scrutiny of the tweets reveals it is not a
verified account.”

The fake account has sense been removed from Twitter.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
