Money Team Says Floyd Mayweather Is Not Paying Suge Knight’s Bail
On Thursday morning, Suge Knight’s attorney told the NY Daily News that there was a possibility that after this weekend’s fight, Floyd Mayweather was going to pay Suge’s $10 million bail.
“We think Mr. Mayweather is going to win the championship and then come champion the day again,” Matthew Fletcher said. “They’re good friends, and there’s no reason he shouldn’t. And we believe that will happen.”
But according to Floyd’s lifestyle brand, The Money Team, Fletcher’s statement was completely bogus. A source inside the camp tells TMZ that Floyd and Suge were close friends in the past but they “haven’t been in contact in several years.”
Suge is currently facing multiple charges in connection with January’s deadly hit-and-run accident in Compton. The former Death Row Records CEO is accused of killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle Bone Sloan.
On Thursday, Knight plead not guilty to all charges. If convicted, he could face life behind bars.
