Rihanna performed her new track “American Oxygen” for the first time over the weekend during the March Madness Music Festival in Indianapolis.
Two minutes and thirty seconds into the beauty’s near 40 minute set, the pop star launched right into the mid tempo song. “Breathe out, breathe in/ This American oxygen/ Every breath I breathe /Chasing this American dream/ Respect for a nickel and dime/ Turn it into an empire,” Bad Gal RiRi sung while sporing a blue fur and red sweat ensemble.
The performance comes just one month after the star teased a snippet of the song in a thirty second NCAA March Madness commercial.
“American Oxygen,” which can also be heard on the new music downloading app, Tidal, is set to appear on the singer’s forthcoming album, R8.
