Take that Chris Brown. Karrueche Tran now has a Daytime Emmy to keep her warm at night. HipHollywood caught up with the model turned actress at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards after she and the cast of The Bay, an online series, won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series.

“It’s really freaking awesome,” said Tran who plays Vivian on the series. The L.A. native also said she’s excited about what this will do for her acting career, and prefers to keep the drama on the screen. We completely understand, but of course we couldn’t help but ask about her ex and rumors that he has penned a song about her.

“I’ve heard it, yes,” said Tran with a laugh. “It’s fitting I guess for the situation I guess, and he’s being an artist and expressing himself … but it also is a reminder of what’s going on, which is not the easiest, but great song, good for him.”

Last week Brown posted and deleted a video on Instagram of himself singing a new song in the studio. The lyrics are the same as an Instagram post he wrote back in December after one of he and Trans many break-ups.

Only time will tell if and when Brown will release the track. We’re just happy to see Karrueche in good spirits, despite finding out her ex had a baby on her, and is doing big things with her career.

Karrueche DID NOT win an Emmy – the shows producers and directors did. If she were nominated for a best actress award than we can say SHE WON an Emmy otherwise it is …Karrueche works on a show that won an Emmy.

I wish the media would stop associating Chris Brown with this Z-list star. She is his ex-sidechick for a valid reason. If she’s so talented then let her stand on her own two feet. I doubt Chris and Karrueche will ever reconcile, he’s over the drama queen. She has no stories to sell to TMZ or HL.

Karreuche is a part of the winnings because she plays a part on the show. I think it’s awesome that she’s evolving so well, and getting on with her life. She’s a beautiful young woman and whatever she chooses to do I wish her all the happiness .I think she’s now seeing that Chris Brown is in her past, and that theres a life out there where she can blossom and be happy again. Chris Brown is a unstable, control freak and thinks he’s all that. News Flash,… He’s Not! Karreuche Tran deserves to be happy and to be treated with respect something Chris Brown has No Clue about. His LOSS!

Watch: Julia Roberts And Owen Wilson Give Advice To Their 10-Year-Old Selves

To say Wonder is a must see movie is an understatement! Not only will the film touch you and inspire you to be a better person, it will also entertain you from start to finish.

But don’t take our word for it. HipHollywood sat down with the film’s stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson who shared their excitement to bring this heartwarming story to life and how they channeled their real-life parenting skills into the role.

“I think we felt a responsibility to be authentically parents and authentically parents to these two kids, said the 50 year old mother of three. “And I think that’s why you really believe these four people are family and are really having this experience together.”

In the film based on the NY times best seller, Roberts and Wilson play the parents of a teenage daughter (Izabela Vidovic) and 10-year-old boy (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences entering mainstream elementary school for the first time.

When asked if they had any advice for their ten year old selves, Roberts said: “I have a ten year old son and I tell him to run.”

Meanwhile Wilson says he remembers 5th grade vividly, and enjoyed having his brother Andrew Wilson at the same school to protect him. “It helped so much having an older brother who was already at the school, so that would be the advice I’d give, have a cool older brother.”

Wonder hits theaters November 17, just one day before Wilson’s 49th birthday.
