Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty Of First-Degree Murder
On Wednesday morning, former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree murder of semi-pro football player, Odin Lloyd.
According to reports, when the verdict was read, Hernandez simply shook his head while his mother and fiancée broke down in tears. The 25-year-old, who was also convicted of gun charges, will face life in prison without possibility of parole.
In June 2013, Odin, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée, was shot six times in the middle of the night and was later found in a park close to Hernandez’s home.
Aaron, who at the time of his arrest had just signed a $40 million dollar contract with the Patriots, has another trial later this year in connection with the showing death of two men outside a nightclub in Boston.
