Awwwww, isn’t Nick Cannon sweet.
The comedian appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night and revealed during a segment called “Plead the Fifth” that he actually thought his estranged wife, Mariah Carey’s movie Glitter wasn’t horrible. “Awesome movie! Honest opinion, great movie, even better soundtrack,” he said. “We have watched that movie together … I loved it so much before I got married, and she actually doesn’t like it … but I actually really love it.”
It’s safe to say Nick might be the ONLY one who actually enjoyed the movie. Sorry Mariah.
Nick also sort of answered questions about Mariah cheating scandals. When asked about Carey’s concert in Tokyo when she changed the lyrics to her track,”Don’t Explain” and sung,”I know you cheated, motherf*cker,” Nick responded: “But weren’t [those] the lyrics already? She just added the ‘mother f’er’ to it.”
Cohen fired back, “Was that about you?”
“Was I the mother f’er?” Nick quipped back. “I have … no! I don’t believe that was about me.”
Cannon, who is currently dating model Jessica White, also addressed rumors that he was once involved with Amber Rose. “[It’s] that she is one of those people that’s just, uh, probably out to just sell herself for the fame,” he said when asked what was the biggest public misconception of the model. “Really, she’s a very intelligent lady that actually has an incredible story that the world will get the opportunity to hear very soon.”
Who’s Really Delusional? Charlamagne Can’t Quite Comprehend Amara La Negra’s Colorism Issues
This is uncomfortable to watch.
Love & Hip Hop Miami star Amara La Negra stopped by The Breakfast Club for a chat about her life, career and experience with colorism. Unfortunately, the interview started of awkwardly when Charlamagne’s first questions was, “What are you?” You see, for whatever reason, the radio host was confused about La Negra’s Afro-Latina heritage. And while there’s nothing wrong with an honesty inquiry, it was the way he asked the question that was off-putting. But, it didn’t stop there.
Charlamange, along to co-host, DJ Envy, repeatedly asked the reality star what was her “struggle”, ignorantly assuming that colorism isn’t a thing anymore because of all the advancements in the entertainment industry that have occurred. Yet, and still, you don’t see artist of Amara’s hue celebrated on any Latina platform such as Univision or Telemundo. The host, with the exception of Angela Yee, then proceeded to deduce Amara’s issue to being a problem that’s “all in (her) head”, even referencing the success of Cardi B. as evidence of La Negra’s delusion. You have to watch this to believe it…
