While you’re probably thrilled when Rihanna gets to “Umbrella” during her concert setlist, the Barbadian singer says someone may as well just shoot her in the head when it’s time to perform it.

“I’ve made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs,” she said in an interview with MTV News. “I find that when I get on stage now, I don’t want to perform a lot of my songs. They don’t feel like me.”

In addition to promoting her new animated film, Home, Ri is also working on her eighth studio album. The pop star says she’s going for a different sound with this project than her past efforts. “I wanted songs that I could perform in 15 years; I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years. Not any songs that were burnt out … So I want to make songs that are timeless,” RiRi divulged.

Rihanna currently untitled album already has two released tracks, “FourFiveSeconds” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney and “American Oxygen.”

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
