Mo’ne Davis Biopic On The Way

She took over the sports world and now Mo’ne Davis’ story will be made into a movie.

The 13 year old baseball phenom made history last year as the first female to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series. Disney Channel loved Davis’ story so much that a biopic about her inspiring story is already underway.

“Throw Like Mo” will be executive-produced by Emmy Award-nominated producer Debra Martin Chase and Mo’ne will consult on the movie, along with espnW, which has extensively covered her achievements. “There are so many great things happening to me right now, and it’s a very exciting time in my life,” Davis stated. “A year ago, I never would have thought that Disney Channel would make a movie about me. I can’t wait to get started, and I hope it will encourage other viewers to believe that dreams really do come true.”

CodeBlack Could Redeem Itself With New Omar Epps, Paula Patton Flick

No shade to CodeBlack Films, but it’s last flick, All Eyes On Me, was kind of a disaster. From the poor ratings and reviews, to stars like Jada Pinkett Smith and 50 Cent slamming the film, folks just weren’t feeling it.

But that may all change with their new movie Traffik. The action-packed thriller slated for theaters April 27, 2018 stars Omar Epps, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso, and it looks pretty darn good.

In the film, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple are surprised by the arrival of two friends, another couple, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against a gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.

The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor. Patton is also a producer.
