Laura Govan Opens Up About Recent Miscarriage

Pacific Coast News

Reality star Laura Govan recently miscarried and the beauty is opening up about it via social media.

On Thursday evening, Govan, most known for chronicling her life on Basketball Wives LA, wrote a lengthy message on Instagram dishing on the pain she endured following the loss.

“I wanted to share something with U guys and why I’ve been out of the loop, well #NRealLife for the past three months I’ve been sick, and extremely exhausted and about a month ago I found out that I was pregnant with my 5th baby, which I thought was impossible,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. When it happened I didn’t want to talk about or deal with it, but now I’m ready to get my life back on track!”

Laura went on to say that she gained over a dozen pounds following the miscarriage.

“I gained a good 15 pounds during this rough time in my life. I want you to rock with me as I take this journey of losing the weight and getting ME back …. because this is something REAL that happens every day to women like you and me and it’s real easy to feel alone, confused and unsure about how to handle or deal with the struggle. Thank God for my REAL friends and family who allowed me to do me and take some time away to get back to focus.
#inRealLife I’m so thankful for all your support …. Let’s get it … And Thank You for the LOVE,” she concluded, stamping the post with a kiss.

Govan did not make clear who the father would have been, but the reality star has been off and on with former NBA star, Gilbert Arenas for years. Gilbert is also the father of her four children.

HipHollywood caught up with Laura and her sister, Gloria in January to talk about their unnamed, forthcoming reality show. According to Laura, the show will follow she and her sister’s lives as single, working mothers. “Both of us being single, single moms, and coming out and showing who we really are and how we really roll is going to be a big, big, big thing for us. I’m excited.”

Watch: Julia Roberts And Owen Wilson Give Advice To Their 10-Year-Old Selves

To say Wonder is a must see movie is an understatement! Not only will the film touch you and inspire you to be a better person, it will also entertain you from start to finish.

But don’t take our word for it. HipHollywood sat down with the film’s stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson who shared their excitement to bring this heartwarming story to life and how they channeled their real-life parenting skills into the role.

“I think we felt a responsibility to be authentically parents and authentically parents to these two kids, said the 50 year old mother of three. “And I think that’s why you really believe these four people are family and are really having this experience together.”

In the film based on the NY times best seller, Roberts and Wilson play the parents of a teenage daughter (Izabela Vidovic) and 10-year-old boy (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences entering mainstream elementary school for the first time.

When asked if they had any advice for their ten year old selves, Roberts said: “I have a ten year old son and I tell him to run.”

Meanwhile Wilson says he remembers 5th grade vividly, and enjoyed having his brother Andrew Wilson at the same school to protect him. “It helped so much having an older brother who was already at the school, so that would be the advice I’d give, have a cool older brother.”

Wonder hits theaters November 17, just one day before Wilson’s 49th birthday.
