Kendall Jenner Slams ‘Us Weekly’ For False Bruce Jenner Quote
Kendall Jenner slammed Us Weekly on Wednesday for publishing a false report about she and her father, Bruce Jenner.
Us Weekly published a story this week claiming that Kendall broke her silence regarding Bruce’s alleged sex change and that she supports him no matter what. “I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters,” the mag quoted the fashion model. “He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”
But according to Jenner, those words never came out of her mouth.
“How is it legal for someone to ‘quote’ someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted,” Kendall tweeted. “Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.”
Over the past several months, Bruce’s gender expression has been questioned. Although the former Olympian has not confirmed it himself, his family has made several comments that hint towards a change in Jenner’s life. “I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right,” Kim Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight back in January. “I feel like that’s his journey to talk about.”
A source also tells PEOPLE magazine that “Bruce is transitioning to a woman. He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he’s doing. He’s in such a great space. That’s why it’s the perfect time to do something like this.”
The 65-year-old was reportedly filming a documentary series about his transformational process, but production has been put on pause.
