Derek Fisher Files For Divorce

Derek Fisher and his wife, Candace are calling it quits.

The New York Knicks coach filed divorce documents on Wednesday in Los Angeles and cited irreconcilable differences for the cause of the split.

“This is a difficult time for me personally,” Fisher said in a statement. “For the sake of our children, I ask that everyone respects our privacy during this process.”

The former LA Lakers player and Candace, who tied the knot in February 2005, has two kids together: twins Drew and Tatum. Fisher is reportedly also asking for joint legal and physical custody of the children.

Back in 2007, Derek was let out of his contract with the Utah Jazz to care for his daughter, Tatum, who suffered from a rare eye cancer called retinoblastoma.

The Knicks are set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at 4:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.

Peep the trailer below.

In the film, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple are surprised by the arrival of two friends, another couple, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against a gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.

The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor. Patton is also a producer.
