Ummmm, well this was awkward. Rosie Perez made a little mistake on Tuesday’s episode of ABC’s The View, accidentally insinuating that the late Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina died.
The hosts were discussing Bobbi’s recent tragic medical emergency when Rosie misspoke. The talkshow host mentioned Lifetime’s Whitney biopic, saying that she “just thought about the movie that came out, and this is no disrespect to Angela Bassett because I love [her], but this unauthorized bio of her mom must have killed her,” Rosie said.
But don’t worry, Perez realized what she said and quickly backtracked. “That was terrible phrasing. It must have hurt her deeply to watch that. We forget these people are human beings. We put them into the tabloids, and we forget they’re human beings.”
Tuesday was Rosie’s first day back on set after taking a short hiatus to work on Broadway’s, Fish in the Dark.
