Beck Brushes Off Kanye Rant: “You Can’t Please Everybody”

Sunday night’s Grammys were going relatively smooth until Kanye West bombarded the stage when Beck accepted the award for Album of the Year.

Kanye nearly relived his infamous 2009 “Imma left you finish” Taylor Swift MTV Video Music Awards moment when he jumped on stage to interrupt Beck’s speech, however, he held back and went back to his seat before completely making a fool of himself.

While it was nice to see the rapper usher some self control, Kanye didn’t exactly hold back during E!’s After Party, where he ranted that Beyonce should have taken home the Album of the Year award. “I don’t know what he said, all I know is if the Grammys want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us,” Ye said. “We ain’t gonna play with them no more. ‘Flawless,’ Beyoncé video. Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it.”

Beck didn’t seem to mind Kanye’s comments, telling People, “You can’t please everybody. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to what he does. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?”

Beck’s, Morning Phase won over Beyonce’s, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran’s X, Sam Smith’s, In The Lonely Hour and Pharrell Williams’, Girl.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
