Azealia Banks: Erykah Badu Is An “Old Lady, Childish”

Azealia Banks is pausing her feud with Iggy Azalea to focus her attention on new beef with Erykah Badu. A Twitter back and forth erupted on Saturday between the two after a fan asked Ms. Badu if she listens to Banks’ music. “I tried,” the soul singer responded, leading Banks to get caught up in her feelings.

“When artists grow old and begin to recognize their own mortality they throw shade at younger spirits,” she tweeted. “We see it happen ALL the time. Whether or not you like me, you are WATCHING, and that’s what’s most important.”

Badu, not one to back down from a confrontation, responded with this message:

“Well shit I did try. Maybe you’re right. I’m just too old to get it. You cool tho?”

In that same tweet, Badu revealed her current location which mean took to mean she was inviting her new enemy to discuss their beef in person. The two women never met in person as Banks made clear on Sunday morning in a new round of tweets:

“Lol that old lady went out of her way throw shade at me, turned on her location. But when I asked for the address … there was no answer.”

“I think it was very childish of her to try and insinuate that I should show up and fight her. Like, how old are you?

For the record, Badu is 43.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
