Exclusive: What Matt McGorry Is Saying About Thursday’s Big Return Of ‘HTGAWM!’

In November, ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder went on a two month hiatus which was devastating for most of us who lived for Thursday night television. And now, we are counting down the days until the show’s big return.

The winter finale of the program left us speechless, with jaws dropped and eyes bulged and according to the show’s co-star, Matt McGorry, we shouldn’t plan on picking up our jaws anytime soon.

While on the red carpet for the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, McGorry gave us a little tease of what fans can expect for Thursday night’s return. “We do get to see kind of what involvement Viola [Davis] had in the murder of Sam,” he said. “She wasn’t just napping on her desk when she pops her head up, it’s a little more devious than that. It’s going to be something else.”

On Sunday, Viola took home a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role as lawyer and professor, Annalise Keating.

“I’d like to thank Paulie, Shonda Rhymes, Betsey Beers, Bill Delaney, and Peter Norwalk for thinking that a sexualized, messy, mysterious woman, could be a 49-year old, dark skinned African American woman who looks like me,” she said during her acceptance speech.

How To Get Away With Murder returns on Thursday, January 29 at 10 p.m. on ABC.

‘Annihilation’s’ Leading Ladies Use Intense Military Training As Bonding Experience

Annihilation is one hell of a visually stunning sci-fi film with five female leads on an expedition to uncover the mysterious phenomenon that is expanding across the American coastline.

For Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Gina Rodriguez, the film, which also lends a voice to what is being called the year of the woman, dressing in head to toe military gear and going through tactical training was a bonding experience.

“”t was really fun. It’s weird to say that. But to have all these women in military training together, where we had to do these exercises … it was a great bonding experience with each other.” Portman told us.

And although the women had the opportunity to use real guns, firearms is not something the ladies of Hollywood advocate. “I’m anti gun to be honest,” Rodriguez said. “I say no guns. There’s no reason for people to have guns especially when you have these,” she said while holding up her firsts.

This past week Gina has been very vocal via social media about gun legislation and the idea behind policy and change following the tragic high school massacre an Parkland, Florida.
Annihilation, also starring Oscar Isaac, hits theaters on February 23.
