Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, Jerod Brown aka YF Kennedy, took to Twitter late Saturday to express his pain following his Bobbi’s medial emergency.
“That phone call just got me shook! I love you Krissi,” Bobby Brown’s nephew wrote. Kennedy also admitted on the social media website that it has been a rough year for his “lil sis.” “Prayers up for my lil cousin & god sister Bobbi Kristina,” he added. “On the way to you sis ..love you.”
Bobbi was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday morning by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend. The late Whitney Houston’s daughter was given CPR until emergency crews arrived. Bobbi was transported to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia where she is currently being treated. A source tells Entertainment Tonight’s David Begnaud that the 21-year-old is now on a ventilator.
Saturday’s emergency comes just two weeks after the release of Lifetime’s Whitney and just days before the anniversary of her mother’s death. Whitney died on February 11, 2012, the day before the 2012 Grammy Awards. The late singer was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Houston’s cause of death was accidental drowning and the effects of heart disease and use of cocaine.
“Krissi doesn’t do drugs,” Jerod told E! News exclusively. “She hasn’t been drinking or doing drugs and she’s cut down on cigarettes. She’s been trying to get her music together and keep her voice clean. Her voice is so beautiful.”
He added, “She’s still been going through the grieving stages but is trying to keep her spirits up. She’s been going to the gym every day with her husband and trying to be happy. She swims a lot. It’s a rough time lately with the anniversary,” he added. “So this is a blow to the family.”
