And it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. After months and months of teasing with photos, we can now view the  trailer for lifetime’s forthcoming Whitney Houston biopic.

The film, directed by Angela Bassett, chronicles the life of the late great Whitney, played by former America’s Next Top Model runner up, Yaya DaCosta. The made for television movie will detail Houston’s rise to fame, including her personal, toxic relationship with Bobby Brown, played by Arlen Escarpeta. In the trailer, you see Houston’s highs and lows, including her battle with drugs.

“I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s amazing talents and accomplishments,” Bassett, who is making her directorial debut with Whitney, said in a statement earlier this year. “And I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story. Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I’m beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world.”

Whitney comes on the heels of Lifetime’s biopic, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, which despite the horrific reviews, garnered 3.2 million viewers and 1.7 million views in the adults 18-49 demo.

The film is set to premiere Saturday, January 17 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime. Will you be watching?
