Porsha Williams Arrested In Atlanta: “Handcuffs Are Not Comfortable”
Porsha Williams was taken into custody on Monday for speeding down an Atlanta highway and apparently driving with a suspended license. The star, who says she was heading to visit her cancer-stricken grandfather at the hospital, was going a cool 78 mph in a 55 zone.
“I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk,” she told Dish Nation in a statement. “I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car, and my freedom.”
Williams, who was booked on a simple battery, misdemeanor charge back in April for attacking RHOA co-star, Kenya Moore, was released on $1,726 to bond.
