Unicorns and Glitter! Katy Perry Teases Super Bowl Halftime Show

Published

It’s official, Katy Perry will be rocking the stage during the 2015 Super Bowl half time show. Following the NFL’s announcement on Sunday, the first promotional video featuring Perry and the show’s sponsor, Pepsi, was released.

“Welcome to my halftime show testing facility. We are testing lots of things here today,” Perry said in the two minute clip. “I’ve got some insane ideas this year. Like, what if we covered the stadium in glitter, but the glitter was edible.”

And based solely on the video, fans can expect unicorns, great dancing and possibly a grand display of fireworks.

News first broke earlier this year that Perry, KP, Ri Ri and Coldplay were all contenders for this year’s show. But it looks like Katy nabbed the coveted spot. Super Bowl XLIX will air on February 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix.

And in doing so, he made us cry … multiple times. Just watch the video below.

In a statement the self-professed “6god” said this video was “the most important thing” he’s ever done. We’d agree.
