Published

Brooklyn’s Lil Kim says her childhood friend, the late Notorious B.I.G., is probably proud of the woman she’s become. HipHollywood sat down with Kim in Las Vegas earlier this month for an exclusive sit-down interview where we asked the rapper about being a mother for the first time, and what Biggie would think if he were alive today.

“I think he’s very proud. I think he’s super proud because he knows that I’m a nurturer by nature,” Kim, who gave birth to daughter Royal Reign on June 9, 2014. “He’s probably helping me right now because he knows, ‘This girl is gonna need some help from above.’ So, ‘Thank you babe for helping me. I’m going to be the best mom I can be.'”

The 39-year-old rapper released her Hardcore mixtape in September and says motherhood inspired her to finish the album as soon as possible. “After I and my baby, I was like I have to get right to it … I have to make sure that that baby has everything and doesn’t want for nothing.”

You can watch reunite with the ladies from the hit song “Not Tonight” at the Soul Train Awards, airing on BET, November 30th. To see a behind-the-scenes preview and hear Kim gush more on motherhood, click through.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Published

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
