Exclusive: Cops Pull Tyga Over For Reckless Driving

Published

on

Reports have spread that Tyga was just arrested this afternoon while shooting a music video in South Central L.A. HipHollywood went directly to the source by contacting the LAPD and found that Tyga is actually a free man and was only stopped for a traffic violation.

According to the LAPD’s Media Relations department, Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, better known as Tyga, was stopped at 3:4opm Monday for dangerous driving while shooting a music video in South Central, Los Angeles.

“The LAPD observed a vehicle driving reckless from that location,” Media Relations told HipHollywood. “School Police were in the vicinity and conducted a traffic stop at Hoover and Florence. They found that Tyga was the driver — he was cited and released for a traffic violation.”

TMZ posted a video of Tyga in cuffs claiming that the rapper had been arrested but it turns out he walked with just a small violation. While Tyga was able to escape being put behind bars, it looks like his bodyguard wasn’t. The LAPD tells HipHollywood that the “Rack City” rapper’s bodyguard has been detained, “pending further investigation on an unknown charge.”

HipHollywood will keep you updated as this story develops.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
