What Chris Brown Is Now Saying About The 2009 Assault On Ex-Girlfriend, Rihanna
Chris Brown has previously admitted that he was in love with two women, his current girlfriend Karrueche Tran and his ex, Rihanna.
Over the past several years, Brown has gone back and forth between the two fashionistas, which has become one of Hollywood’s most talked about love triangles. And although Brown appears to be extremely happy with Tran, the star is still open to talking about his past relationship with the sexy pop star.
During a recent interview with New York’s Hot 97, the star opened up about his personal pain after assaulting Rih in 2009. The singer admitted that he was indeed hurt and he didn’t want to listen to his PR’s strategy for damage control. “I really just wanted to be like man ‘f*ck ya’ll,’ that’s how I felt. I was like ‘It’s my personal life and I’m going through a troubled time right now, the worst thing I coulda did.”
When asked if he ever wanted to just say “I f*cked up,” Brown responded, “yeah, but you can only say it so many times.”
Brown continued, “I feel like through the years I’ve said it enough to where it’s like ‘bro, it ya’ll still on that I feel sorry for ya’ll.’ I don’t have animosity about it. Obviously I do have remorse about it … Me and her, we made amends, we good. She my friend. At the end of the day, I knew that was a mistake that I will never make again.”
Brown also addressed wanting to be with Rihanna following the infamous attack. “We was cool. A lot of it was on me trying again to pick up the pieces. I wanted to make sure it was still there. At the end of the day, I wanted to kind of make amends to her, showing that I could be the man she wanted me to be.”
