Reality star and model Joanne Borgella passed away on Saturday after battling what she described just a year ago as a rare cancer. Joanne was 32-years-old.

“To God be the glory! With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Joanne,” Borgella’s family confirmed on her Facebook page. “On Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 5:45AM, Joanne Borgella Ramirez was called by the Lord to heaven. At an early age, Joanne made a choice to serve and trust the Lord; and since her diagnosis over a year ago, Joanne made a choice to also be a fighter and share her journey with the world. Her faith, courage and strength were unshaken throughout every obstacle she encountered. Although our family is suffering with this great loss, we find comfort in the closeness Joanne shared with the Lord. We know her spirit still shines and will continue to live on in heaven.”

Joanne, who was the first winner of Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance and contestant on Season 7 of American Idol, was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer in September 2013. Over the past year, the model has been chronicling her medical journey via Facebook and updating fans on her ongoing prognosis.

“Gooooood morning!! We are heading back to radiation for 2 procedures,” Joanne wrote in her last post on  September 23. “God is [sic] with us!! I have lots to fill you in on.. The presence of The Lord is here.. Prayers up!!! I love you guys #GodsGotThis #ThePowerofPrayer #Faith #IWillbeCancerFree2014 #JoanneBorgella.”

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
