Exclusive: Suge Knight Still In Custody + Lawyer Says Robbery Allegations Stand On “Shaky Ground”

Published

Suge Knight’s lawyer is suggesting that the allegations surrounding the rap mogul’s recent arrest are questionable at best.

“I have not seen evidence in the case except what’s been made public.  That evidence does not support the charges,” Richard Schonfeld tells HipHollywood exclusively. “Additionally, the time frame of the alleged incident was one week after he [Suge Knight] was shot six times and had staples in his body. So the allegations that he was part of a robbery already stands on shaky ground.”

Suge and comedian Katt Williams were arrested on Wednesday after being accused of stealing a female photographer’s camera in Beverly Hills last month.

“Mr. Knight was unaware that there was any warrant,” Richard tells us. “We will be addressing the circumstances in court.”

We are told that the Death Row Records co-founder is sill in custody and that he is set to appear in court on Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. If convicted, Knight could face up to 30 years to life in prison and Williams, seven years.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
