Exclusive: Channing Tatum Thinks “Chocolate City” is Going to Be “Awesome”

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so it’s no surprise Channing Tatum is all smiles about a black version of his wildly popular film Magic MikeHipHollywood sat down with Tatum while he was promoting 22 and asked what he thought about the upcoming flick Chocolate City. “I think it’s awesome,” said Tatum under a huge grin. “The name is so crazy … I’m like what!”

The film directed by Jean Claude Lamarre will star Tyson Beckford, Ginuwine, Darren DeWitt Henson, Vivica A. Fox, Carmen Electra and Michael Jai White. Romeo Miller was slated to star but has now been replaced by Robert Ri’chard (“One on One”) in the lead role.

We asked Tatum, who is back on set for Magic Mike 2, if he had any advice for these guys when it comes to making a strip club film. “I’ve only been to one all male black strip club and it is wildly different than anything I’ve ever been to … it is crazy I would say it is a lot more fun.”

No word on when Chocolate City will hit theaters, but we’re sure the ladies will be lining up.

Inside LeToya Luckett’s Intimate Weekend Wedding!

Congratulations to LeToya Luckett! The singer/ actress and her fiance Texas businessman Tommicus Walker tied the knot over the weekend in Austin, TX.

According to Essence, the pair said ‘I do’ on Sunday at the Villa Antonia, a sprawling mansion in the canyons of Texas Hill Country.

Pastor John Gray, who is a dear friend of Luckett’s, officiated their wedding ceremony, while Tank sang “At Last” as Luckett walked down the aisle.

Luckett’s bestie Eudoxie Bridges (pictured below) was one of two matrons of honor, while the grooms brother’s Tamarcus Joe Walker and Treoun Walker, were the best men.

Luckett wore a custom Vera Wang gown for the wedding while her husband donned a Tom Ford jacket and pants by Ermenegildo Zegna. For the reception she changed into a beautiful white lace gown, while Walker wore a burgundy suit.

Guests included Ludacris, Luckett’s former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Latavia Roberson and Michelle Williams, NBA player Dahntae Jones and his wife Valeisha Butterfieild.

Luckett was previously married in 2016 to motivational speaker Rob Hill Sr, but pulled the plug just three months later.
