Iconic and world renowned fashion designer Oscar de la Renta passed away on Monday evening at the age of 82. Oscar’s wife, Annette de la Renta confirmed the news yesterday evening.

According to reports, the legendary designer’s cause of death was complications from cancer. He was diagnosed in 2006.

“He was just gracious and elegant and a gentleman. Mr. De la Renta loved women,” Jennifer Garner said during an Elle event on Monday. “And you saw it in every design that he did. He honored women’s features, he honored our bodies. He wasn’t afraid to pull back and let the woman be the star of the look. And I was just lucky to get to wear his designs and get to know him a little bit, just the tiniest bit, as a person.”

As expected, celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the talented designer who spent more than 50 years dressing high society, including celebrities and First Ladies in exquisite gowns and haute couture. The Dominican Republic native also recently designed Amal Clooney’s wedding dress.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
