What Jason Derulo Is Saying About His Breakup With Jordin Sparks

Published

on

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks’ breakup is just as shocking as Amber Rose filing for divorce from Wiz Khalifa. News broke on Thursday that the adorable Hollywood couple ended their relationship of three years, but the good news is that former lovebirds are “cool” and on good terms.

“Yeah, everything is cool, man,” he told Big D of Twin Cities KDWB-FM. “It’s not a bad situation. You know, it’s not one of those kinda things.” Jason also revealed that the two will remain good friends.

Sparks and Derulo appeared on the red carpet for the MTV VMAs together last month and appeared to be on cloud nine, per the usual. What makes this split so surprising is that we were all under the impression the two were going to tie the knot sooner than later.

Last year, Jason penned a song titled “Marry Me” about Jordin while they were dating. In an interview with HipHollywood, Jordin told us how she felt the first time she heard the track. “I was sitting there kind of frozen, like this is a really, really beautiful song. And to take into account the reality of the situation that we’re together, and we both write based on what we’re going through so it was just a really special moment for me.”

And in doing so, he made us cry … multiple times. Just watch the video below.

In a statement the self-professed “6god” said this video was “the most important thing” he’s ever done. We’d agree.
