Walmart is blaming Tracy Morgan’s life threatening injuries following the comedian’s June 7 car crash on failure to wear a seat belt.
The multinational retail corporation responded to Morgan’s lawsuit on Monday claiming that the injuries were “caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs’ failure to properly wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device.”
Officials say Walmart truck driver, Kevin Roper rear ended the limo bus Morgan was riding in. The crash injured the other passengers and killed comedian, James McNair. Roper, 35, pleaded not guilty to charges of assault by auto and vehicular homicide.
Morgan suffered a broken leg, broken nose and broken ribs.
