T.I. officially has the key to the city of Jackson, Mississippi.
On Wednesday, Mayor Tony Yarber presented the key to the Atlanta rapper and commended him for having an impact on young people and encouraging them to stay away from crime.
T.I. also took the time yesterday to talk with students from different schools about avoiding the mistakes he once made. We are told that the T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle star “acknowledged his criminal past but said if you want to be different, you must do things different.” Back in 2009, the Atlanta native spent seven months in prison for trying to buy unregistered guns and silencers from undercover feds.
The 34-year-old just released a mixtape and is set to drop his next studio album, Paperwork: The Motion Picture on October 21.
