Iggy Azalea Fires Back After Rapper Rah Digga’s Ultra Diss

Iggy Azalea just cannot catch a break. The rapper, who is still dealing with the drama surrounding her alleged sex tape, took to Twitter this week to defend herself and her music after female rapper, Rah Digga suggested that the star’s music is not real hip hop.

“I honestly don’t really mind if I’m described as rap or pop. My passion is purely making music and entertaining,” Iggy wrote in a series of tweets. “Its definitely funny seeing ppl get so emotional over it all. What does it matter? music is music and many enjoy mine, no need to feel upset.”

During a recent interview with ThisIs50’s Gossip Viv, the former Flipmode Squad member explained why she “can’t really get into Azalea.”

“Because it’s just not real to me. There is a white girl from Australia that spits in an Australian accent, and her name is Chelsea Jane. That I can get into. Teach me Australian Hip-Hop culture. Don’t come to America and try to convince me that you’re Gangsta Boo…We’re not going to believe you if you’re trying to convince us that you’re out here trap shooting,” she said.

“That’s the problem. They’re too many passes being given. When did it become wrong to call out people that don’t write their own rhymes? When did that become a crime in hip-hop?”

Rah continued, “Hip-hop is representative of this—to inform and empower inner city youth. I’m fine with anybody’s race, creed, or color participating, but don’t ever forget what it was created for in the first place.”

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
