CBS Releases Statement Following Rihanna’s Profane Tweet

Published

on

Just hours after Rihanna publicly slammed CBS for pulling her song “Run This Town” from Thursday’s pregame show, CBS released statement stating that they are parting ways with the popstar.

“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” CBS Sports said. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”

On Tuesday morning, Rihanna called out CBS for pulling her track which would have run this week and for the rest of the season. CBS initially pulled Ri’s track in the wake of the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal.

“CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*ck you! Y’all are sad for penalizing me for this,” she tweeted. “The audacity.”
